Here are some story’s from a few of our patients…

• Before I came to The Health Connection and met with Dr. Jeremy Ferris, I was in 24-7 horrible pain. I suffered from what most people refer to as a pinched nerve. The pain originated from my back but ran down my leg and felt like I had a huge butcher knife stuck in there. I had this condition before but never like this. In the past, a couple of visits to a chiropractor would fix it with a few simple adjustments. However this time was far worse and the same chiropractor simply could not seem to provide any relief at all.

After going to the chiropractor I had seen in the past but experiencing even more and more pain I started looking at medical procedures. The first step was steroids. While I hated taking them, knowing the harm they could cause, I was desperate for relief. The steroids did provide relief at 1st but the pain came back. We did 2 more doses of steroids and still the pain always came back. Next I saw a pain anesthesiologist. I went through 2 rounds of the most painful injections that you could imagine getting. These also provided relief but again it was short-lived and the pain returned. I finally saw a spine surgeon who told me only surgery would fix my condition. At this point in time although I did not want to go through surgery I was beginning to think he was right and that nothing else would help me get my life back. At this time I was in incredible pain, could not exercise and actually had trouble just walking. Sleeping consisted of finding a position where you were in the least amount of pain and maybe getting 30-45 minutes of sleep before the pain woke me up again.

Before going through with surgery I went back to the chiropractor I had seen before and a asked him what he knew about decompression treatment. He ended up sending me to Dr.

Jeremy at Health Connections (I had actually 1st heard about decompression treatment when I visited a clinic in Avon, Indiana where for a mere $6,500 they could possibly fix me).

When I met with Dr Jeremy it was very obvious to me that he truly cared about me and wanted to help me become pain free. He laid out a plan that included decompression (at a fourth of the cost), stretching and chiropractic adjustments. We started with several visits a week for the 1st few weeks and then gradually went to once per week. It took several weeks before I started seeing results but all the time Dr. Jeremy kept my confidence up and kept telling me I would get better. I think it was about the 16th visit that it all of a sudden happened. My pain was going away! By the 20th visit I was completely pain free!

I cannot more highly recommend Health Connections and Drs’ Jeremy and Matt. I truly believe they are gifted in what they do and no one could find a chiropractic group with more knowledge, and of equal importance, compassion.
